This workshop invites nonprofit leaders into a fresh, reflective approach to governance that balances strategic thinking, personal insight, and collaborative leadership. Drawing from Adrienne Maree Brown's "Emergent Strategy" for change, catalytic questioning, and contemporary co-leadership practices, the session helps participants uncover assumptions, examine governance norms, and embrace complexity as a strength. Workshop Objectives: Reframe governance as an adaptive, living system that evolves with organizational needs. Gain insight into how personal and systemic patterns shape governance culture. Contrast traditional board duties with values-aligned alternatives through case study discussions. Introduce co-leadership practices that distribute power and build trust across teams and boards.
